Cytology & Histopathology
There are times when microscopic evaluation of discharge or fluids may be necessary to help make the diagnosis of disease. For example, our doctors will use microscopic cytology to help us to direct the treatment of ear infections and urinary issues.
If your pet has an abnormal lump somewhere where we can access it to get a sample, we may use needle biopsy or surgical biopsy samples to help us determine if the lump is something of concern that needs to be surgically removed.
