Veterinary Technician (on maternity leave)
Amy
Amy graduated with honours from Seneca Polytechnic’s Veterinary Technician program in 2008 and has been thriving in fast-paced clinic environments ever since. Her passion for veterinary medicine began at a young age and has guided her through a fulfilling career advocating for the health and happiness of animals.
From volunteering at the Toronto Humane Society to working as a veterinary assistant and receptionist, Amy’s dedication led her to a dual role as Practice Manager and Technician for seven years. She has mentored and cross-trained countless students and staff, always striving to deliver gold-standard care to both clients and their furry companions.
Amy excels in all areas of clinic life, with a special love for anesthesiology, emergency/critical care, and radiology. Over the years, she has welcomed many special-needs pets into her home. Today, she shares her life with her loving boyfriend and their three cats—Prince, Autumn, and Fritz.
Outside of work, Amy enjoys photography, hiking, kayaking, billiards, and spending quality time with family and friends (furry ones included). She lives by the quote:"Until one has loved an animal, a part of one's soul remains unawakened." – Anatole France
