Beatriz grew up in Brazil, where her passion for animals began at a very young age. Inspired by her father’s dedication to rescuing animals in need, she became deeply aware of how many had no one to care for them or advocate on their behalf. Those early experiences shaped her values and sparked a lifelong commitment to helping vulnerable animals feel safe, supported, and understood.
She volunteered for two summers at a veterinary clinic in Brazil, gaining hands-on experience in daily hospital operations and patient care. After moving to Canada, Beatriz completed a major in Animal Physiology at the University of Toronto, strengthening her foundational knowledge of animal health and the science behind veterinary medicine.
In her role at the clinic, Beatriz is dedicated to making every veterinary visit as smooth, stress-free, and supportive as possible—for both pets and their families. She knows how overwhelming vet visits can be, especially when a pet is anxious, unwell, or injured, and she strives to ensure every client feels heard, reassured, and cared for from the moment they walk through the door.
Her goal for every patient is that they leave the clinic feeling healthier, more comfortable, and emotionally supported. She understands how stressful clinical environments can be for fearful or reactive pets and believes emotional care is just as important as medical treatment.
Beatriz’s family includes her husband, Alvaro, and their baby girl, Atlas—her greatest sources of love, joy, and motivation. Becoming a mother has deepened her patience, empathy, and understanding of how animals communicate and experience the world.
Outside of work, Beatriz enjoys reading fantasy novels, exploring new hobbies, and taking on hands-on projects like building or assembling things. She is proud of the life she has built in Canada and of continuing to pursue the career she has always dreamed of.
A quote she carries with her is: “We are not perfect. We are not infinite. But we are here. And we are trying.” It reminds her to approach herself and others with gentleness, compassion, and understanding.
