For as long as she can remember, Dr. Isa has had a deep love for animals—starting with giving up her baby bottle to care for a litter of orphaned puppies. Growing up surrounded by horses, dogs, cats, rabbits, cows, and pigs, her passion for animal care was rooted in childhood.

She graduated as a veterinarian in Quito, Ecuador, in 2021 and has been working in the veterinary field since her university days, first as an assistant and later as a veterinarian. After moving to Canada, she worked as a veterinary technician from July 2023 to July 2025 while preparing to sit the North American Veterinary Licensing Examination. She is now thrilled to be practicing as a veterinarian with the EVF team.

Dr. Isa is dedicated to ensuring every patient receives the best possible care and strives to make each visit a positive experience. She finds joy in seeing patients progress—from their first vaccinations to post-surgery recoveries—and is a compassionate support for both pets and the medical team.

Fluent in both English and Spanish, Isa is proud to support a diverse community of pet owners and ensure clear, empathetic communication with every family.

Her closest companions include her husband, Levi, and their beloved cat Ninja Maria. She also has two cats, Ceniza and Fuego, and a German shepherd named Kena back home in Ecuador.

Outside of work, she enjoys outdoor adventures like camping, biking, hiking, mountaineering, paragliding, and scuba diving. Her personal mantra is simple yet powerful: Be Kind.
