Josh grew up in North Toronto before completing his B.Sc. with Honours in Biology at the University of Western Ontario, and a M.Sc. in Animal Physiology and Nutrition at the University of Guelph before pursuing his veterinary training at Michigan State University (class of 2020). Josh has had the opportunity to work with a variety of exotic species including rhinoceros, giraffes, impala, and elephants, and has a passion for wildlife conservation stemming from his family's South African roots. He was excited to further his special interests in dermatology, cardiology, and surgery at EVF and he has specialized training to work with our laparoscopic equipment.

Josh’s goal with patient visits is to make each appointment a positive experience for everyone involved, to be a collaborator with families in making the best decisions for both them and their pets, as well as be open and honest.

When outside the clinic, Josh enjoys spending time with his family (now a family of four) and their Bearded Collie named Benny, as well as traveling overseas and enjoying outdoor activities in both the summer and winter.
