Katie is an RVT who currently works in both a general practice clinic and a rehabilitation clinic. Katie was inspired to work with animals at a young age, understanding the love, care and commitment her own dog, Cody, was in need of. Katie was drawn to the responsibility of helping the animals she met, making sure they felt safe, loved, and cared for. 

Katie is a recent veterinary technician graduate of Seneca College, having passed the Veterinary Technician National Examination in August of 2024, becoming a registered veterinary technician. Katie will be starting her Certified Canine Rehabilitation Practitioner (CCRP) education in November, becoming certified in rehabilitation. 

At Eglinton Veterinary Facilities, Katie is an RVT, contributing her skills learned in school and in practice to assist in surgery and every day appointments helping our furry friends and communicating the importance of proper pet care to owners. 

Katie’s goal with every patient she meets is to make sure that the utmost thought, patience, love, and care is given to that patient. Katie’s goal with every patient is to provide appropriate medical care, providing the patient with the treatment needed to feel strong, healthy, and happy. 

Katie’s family is made up of her schnoodle; Cody, and her two budgies; 22 and Sky. 

Katie’s personal interests include horseback riding, reading, and playing the guitar. Katie’s achievements include becoming certified in Acute Self-Care for Veterinary Professionals, becoming an RVT, and finding a job that Katie loves wholeheartedly; being a registered veterinary technician!
