Patient Care Attendant
Lori
I have always known that I wanted to work with animals. I briefly thought I wanted to work in human medicine, but I just seem to have an understanding and love for animals that has led me to working with furry patients. Having the opportunity to work at Eglinton Veterinary Facilities means I get to help both animals and people. It also gives me the chance to work in a medical field.
My role in the clinic has such a wide range of responsibilities. I get to help doctors and learn so much about medicine. I get to help animals feel safe and provide love and care to them. I also get to help people, whether I'm offering advice, comfort, or ensuring they are happy with the care we provide to them and their pets.
I like to ensure that our clients feel heard and know that their furry family members are receiving the best care anyone can provide. I pride myself on understanding animals and ensuring I’m giving them everything they deserve.
I have a lot of interests, the majority of them involve anything outdoors in the sun. I love camping and being in wilderness and spending countless number of hours with my dog. I’ve always had a special interest in animal behaviour, which pushed me towards training pets. I am just finishing up my CCPDT certification and then I plan on furthering my training to become a Veterinary Technician.
My motto is Learn anything and everything that people are willing to teach you! And always be open to learning new things.
