Patient Care Attendant

Lucy

I was drawn to working at EVF because I have always had such a strong love for all animals. I just love the interesting cases we sometimes get to see, plus I wanted more Caribbean women to see that anyone can work with animals.

I am a Patient Care Attendant which means, basically past those treatment room doors you will see me with my coworkers keeping your pet calm while getting injections. I tend to make weird, cute sounds to distract them from what the Vet & Techs are doing, but I have learned a lot more than just funny noises during the past year at EVF.

My goal for when a client walks or calls in is to help them feel calm and to answer any questions they may have. My goal is to always get your answer with a smile on my face.

I come from a very large family, but they are all over the world. My immediate family includes my boyfriend and our kitten, Rema.

I love dancing, and I have always loved playing in the Toronto Carnival since I was 5 years old. I also love trying new foods and a bit of drawing, and of course, playing with Rema.

I am a firm believer in positivity. SMILE because someone could be having a terrible day & could use it!

Dancing can make anyone's day no matter how weird!
