The reason I started my career in the veterinary industry was mainly due to my love I had for animals as a child. As a little boy in Iran, I would spend hours of my days looking for animals at my aunt's villa or watching Animal Planet over and over again. As I grew older, I wanted to turn this love I had for animals into a career that I could pursue. My role and goal in the clinic are to allow/enable our doctors and technicians to provide the best care they can via various means. That involves handling animals for examinations/vaccines, making sure animals in our care are safe, comfortable and calm. The upkeep and cleanliness of the practice is also crucial in running a vet clinic, thus it's also part of my duties to ensure the clinic is clean and sanitary. I also have a direct role in dealing with our clients ensuring they have the best experience for them and their pet family. As a current university graduate, I am aspiring to pursue a career as a vet. I started this role as an assistant to gain experience in both the veterinary field, but mainly to understand what is needed and what it takes to be a great vet. As an avid history buff, I would have to say my favorite quote would have to be Theodore Roosevelt's "Ladies and gentlemen, I don't know whether you fully understand that I have just been shot, but it takes more than that to kill a Bull Moose." It's a quote that helped me power through many things I otherwise wouldn't have.
