Margrette
Growing up in the Philippines, I was exposed to all sorts of stray animals. I realized that those strays most likely do not have someone to advocate for their health. This inspired me to work with animals, and to learn the skills to help animals in need.
After high school, I immediately studied at Seneca for the veterinary assistant certificate. Working as an assistant has made me realized that I wanted to do more in my career.
My role within the clinic is to provide care for patients and support the doctors with their needs.
My goal with every patient is to provide gold standard care, and to make every visit as enjoyable for the patients as possible.
My family consists of my parents, and my German Shepherd/lab mix Shiro, and I used to have a cat and 6 budgies.
When I am not working with animals, I am very interested in visual arts, I like to spend time practicing still life and anatomy. I also like to play the bass guitar, which helps me destress and is very calming.
My favourite quote has to be "The axe forgets, but the tree remembers". Which helps me to remember to be kinder.
